With a passion to help make a difference and spark that confidence within everyone, Zoe has created an all-natural, nourishing range of sustainable skincare products for men, women and children. A fast-growing brand, they were looking for an agency to work with to utilise all avenues of digital marketing to push the business further forward. All hands on deck, from Design, DevHub, Marketing & Media, we were able to help Zoe Bee Beauty on their journey to achieve their goals.

Zoe Bee Beauty is an increasingly popular creator of a wide range of natural, cruelty free, vegan skincare products for men, women and children of all ages. Named 'Fashion & Beauty Entrepreneur of the Year: South East', Zoe's passion is to actively make a difference and spark confidence within everyone. Through the use of her creams, she's changing the lives (and the skin) of hundreds of thousands of people all over the world.

Zoe Bee Beauty's challenge was to rapidly scale their product in a busy market. They were looking for a full service agency to work with who would be able to utilise all avenues of digital marketing to push the business further forward.

the solution

Our hands-on approach got all teams involved in proposing a new direction for the brand in 2021. With a focus on tidying up the brand and honing in on Zoe to establish more of a brand identity, we proposed a multi-channel strategy to help build authenticity and engagement on their platforms. Initially, the plan was to use our talented Design & DevHub teams to create a fresh, exciting website for Zoe.

Using the creative skillset of our Media Team, we managed to produce high-quality product imagery for use on the site & social media. Due to the demand for creams - we worked closely with Zoe herself on designing a solution to carefully plan & manage restock on the website through email marketing.

-we have complemented zoe bee's brand guideline with some bespoke illustration for them to use on graphic materials, the website and their social media graphics - we really wanted to highlight the natural side of the brand giving it this raw and ethical look. - we emphasised the idea of the brand being vegan and ethical - throughout all graphic design we wanted to translate the proximity the founder Zoe has with her customers. We wanted to create the idea of a close community. - We defined a soft and calming feel to the brand.

Print Design

- Zoe Bee's products are well known to be out of stock very quickly and that was one of the 'issue' we wanted to address - By turning the rarity of the product into something positive, we thought that making the customer experience more personalised was essential. - we designed a little leaflet that would be placed in each order placed from the website. By doing so we created a stronger link between the founder Zoe and her customers. We made it feel like a unique experience and made the customers lucky to have been able to purchase the product. The purpose of the leaflet was mainly to inform Zoe Bee's customers of all the benefits of the different creams, as well as informing them on how to use and apply the cream which was a recurring question from her customers. - stylistically we designed the leaflet so it was reflecting the purity and the ethical aspect of the product. We used the illustration we developed for Zoe Bee as the main graphic element on the leaflet.

Graphic Design

- As part of the brand guideline we added new graphic elements for Zoe bee to use across diverse material. - We developed bespoke iconography to again reinforce the idea of small community that Zoe Bee wanted to have with her audience. - Throughout social, story content we again wanted to implement the natural element of the brand using the illustration we designed for them. We developed story themes for Zoe to use as their account is quite active on story content. We wanted to structure this in a more impactful way.

UI / UX Design

* Inspired by pastel, earthy colours and Zoe Bee’s organic product * Simplistic but bespoke iconography relating to the simplicity of the product. * Illustrations inspired by botanical artwork. * Aim was to not seem pharmaceutical or chemical related but organic and natural. * Emphasis on 1st person communication and tone of voice between Zoe and her customers. * Maintaining existing functionality of the website we enhanced the branding to create better brand recognition. Better communicating the values of Zoe Bee through elegant typefaces and bespoke botanical illustrations. * Also wanted to communicate the restocking method better to customers as because of the limited stock they would sell out in minutes. Users needed to know the reason for this and that it isn’t a marketing ploy. * Countdown needed to be obvious. * We also wanted to capture more peoples emails for the newsletter to increase user retention. We linked the countdown to a newsletter sign up to create better value to the user for subscribing to the newsletter, allowing Zoe Bee to maintain regular communication between the company and it’s customers.

Email marketing

With such high demand for Zoe Bee Beauty products, we were tasked with creating a buzz around consumers joining the waiting list to be notified of the next product drop. This involved creating intriguing email newsletters in order to reach out to the vastly expanding audience. We designed the emails to be personal, informative and compelling. Ensuring the emails were on-brand and had Zoe's tone of voice, we relaid key information to increase sales using restock reminders on a weekly basis. Our dedication to the brand meant that we were able to boost their audience both by social following and customer purchasing.
